Veganism
As I have recently become vegan I thought that a page for all my vegan/veggie (or wanting to be) might be a good idea.
I was vegetarian for 7 years before I stopped caring and started eating meat when I was a drunken student! I attempted to become veggie again a couple of years ago at the same time as Steve, but having someone who is really not into eating ‘proper’ vegetarian food proved too difficult, and then I fell pregnant so I gave up.
However, more recently my conscience has been eating away at me - and not just because I am against the abhorrent treatment of factory farmed animals! I am 30 this year and I know that in our family there is a male and female history of high blood pressure, angina, high cholesterol, heart attacks, and more recently bowel cancer. I lost two grandparents at 56 and 70, and the others at 62 and 69 - and unless I get run over by a bus or something else beyond my control I don’t want to die that young. How else will I get to see the most recent MMORPG games? 
I am terrified that I’m going to end up on medication for blood pressure (or something else) in the next 10 years or so, become overweight, even more unfit that I already am, and I want to do something about it before it is too late.6
Besides, if you have ever watched ‘Meet your Meat’ and are a true animal lover there is no way you could eat meat without thinking twice. I’d rather not eat it at all.
As far as the dairy thing goes, they suffer just as much as the meat animals do, if not more as they are kept alive for longer. So all things animal are out.
Anyway, this page needs editing, but I can’t be bothered to do it now.
